NEXT GENERATION SEQUENCING
Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) is a high-throughput technology that allows the parallel analysis of millions of DNA or RNA fragments, providing a comprehensive and detailed view of the genome, transcriptome, or microbiome. Compared to traditional sequencing methods, NGS offers large-scale data generation in a short time and at a lower cost, with high sensitivity and resolution. As a consequence, it is a fundamental tool in biomedical research, molecular diagnostics, and clinical applications, enabling the study of genetic variants, gene expression, structural variants, and microbial composition, even in complex samples or with limited input material.
The NGS Facility at CEINGE, equipped with state-of-the-art platforms and advanced technical expertise, offers high-quality services for massively parallel sequencing to support translational and basic research projects, as well as large-scale omics studies.
The facility also provides personalized consultation for experimental design.
