Celentano Simona

She graduated with full marks (110/110) in Chemical Sciences from the University of Naples Federico II. During her postgraduate training, she gained extensive experience in operating and managing LC-MS/MS systems with nano-electrospray ion sources, coupled to Orbitrap mass analyzers (LTQ Orbitrap XL, Exploris 240, Thermo Fisher), quadrupole mass analyzers (AB SCIEX, Waters) and hybrid Q-TOF instruments (Waters, Agilent). 

She has developed advanced expertise in  mass spectrometry applied to the determination of molecular weights of biomolecules (e.g., oligonucleotides, peptides, PNAs, proteins), protein mapping, identification and characterization of post-translational modifications (e.g., glycosylation, disulfide bonds, cross-links), peptide sequencing by MS/MS, protein identification in complex mixtures, qualitative and quantitative metabolite analyses, targeted and untargeted proteomics, and interactomics analyses aimed at identifying protein complexes. 

Since 2018, she has been the Scientific-Technical Advisor at the CEINGE Proteomics Facility.
